Dill Sauce

Dill sauce is a cool, creamy blend of sour cream or yogurt, mayo, fresh dill, lemon, and garlic. It takes 5 minutes and is a fresh match for salmon, fish, and vegetables. Fresh dill makes all the difference over dried.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 small garlic clove grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Method
 

  1. Stir all ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Taste and adjust with more lemon or dill.
  3. Chill 15 minutes to let the flavors come together.

Notes

Chill time: 15 minutes. Storage: Keeps in the fridge for up to 5 days in a sealed jar. Stir before serving, as it may thin slightly. Freezing: Freezing isn't recommended. The dairy and mayo base separates when thawed.
